Square des Batignolles is the largest green space in the 17th arrondissement of Paris. It was created by Jean-Charles Adolphe Alphand in 1862 in the style of naturalistic English-garden on land that was a former disused freight yard.

Square des Batignolles is popular with children and adults: there are playgrounds, sand-boxes, swings, a carousel with wooden horses, ping-pong tables and areas for roller skating, pétanque and boules.

There is an alley named after French singer Monique Andrée Serf, aka “Barbara” who mentioned the square in the song “Perlimpinpin”.

Square des Batignolles is within walking distance of Rome Metro and is also near the new Parc Clichy-Batignolles. It is served by lines 2, 3, and 13.
