Palais Garnier

Palais Garnier, also known as Opéra Garnier or the Opera House was was commissioned by Emperor Napoleon III and was completed in 1874 by architect Charles Garnier. Since the opening of Opéra Bastille in 1989, Palais Garnier has mainly been used for ballet.

Palais Garnier is located in the 9th arrondissement of Paris with several metro stations nearby (lines 3, 7, 8 and 9). There is a fee to enter. Pl. de l’Opéra, 75009 Paris, France, +33 1 71 25 24 23.
