Eiffel Tower

The Eiffel Tower was constructed from 1887 to 1889 and was centerpiece of the 1889 World’s Fair in Paris. Located on the Champ de Mars in the 7th arrondissement, it is the tallest structure in Paris and is named after the engineer Gustave Eiffel.

The nearest Paris Métro station is Bir-Hakeim on line 6. The nearest RER station is Champ de Mars-Tour Eiffel. The tower is located at the intersection of the quai Branly and the Pont d’Iéna.
