All that remains of the Estate of Meudon is the Orangery and the remains of the Château-Neuf (above left) which has since been converted to an observatory. Château-Vieux in the distance was destroyed by fire in 1795.
Above left: the 17th century Orangerie of Meudon which was restored in 2012 (facing north); the nymphaeum (the nymphée) above the Orangerie is just visible. It now houses a café which is a perfect respite from the steep climb to the Estate of Meudon. Above right: the Grande Perspective at Meudon (facing south).
